Khanda

The Sikh doctrine ‘Deg Tegh Fateh’ is depicted by Khanda. It consists of a double –edged sword in the centre, two single-edged swords, ‘kirpan’ crossed at the bottoms which sit on the either side of khanda and chakkar. This military emblem of the Sikhs indicates the integration of both spiritual and temporal sovereignty called Miri-Piri.
